How do I create my profile?
- Simple! Take advantage of our free registration, sign in and go to your Home Page. Hold your cursor over the 'My Profile' tab then click 'Edit Profile'. Your Profile let's others know about you and the things that are important to you. Consider the kinds of things you would like to see in another's profile as a guide to filling out your own. Click the save button on the bottom right. Your anonymity is protected at all times. Check out our Privacy policy.

Who gets to see my profile?
- Only registered members can see your full profile. Non-registered users can view basic profile data only.

Why are there no photos on some profiles?
- Adding photos is optional and remember, a profile with a photo is going to attract a lot more interest than one without. A picture is worth a thousand words so choose a good quality picture that shows the real you.

How many details do I have to list?
- Your registration requires that you complete our basic data profile. After that, it's up to you. You can list all the details you want about your interests, appearance, lifestyle, and partnership preferences. Should you decide to add something to it later, edit or update your profile the same you created it initially. Remember, the more people know about you the better your chances of connecting to the kind of person you want to meet.

What does the activity barometer on my profile mean?
- The activity barometer shows the frequency of ICONY use. There's a barometer displayed on each user's profile. The scale ranges from one point for a moderate to active member, up to five points for a highly active user.

How can I cancel my ICONY subscription?
- A free membership do not have to be cancelled. All other information to terminate your membership and for deletion of your user, including all data can be found under "Profile deletion" in My Profile.

How can I contact people?
- To contact ICONY user you have to register for ICONY. You have the possibility to send messages or SMS. Do you want to let you activate it for the SMS reception, then you can do it with your phone at any time under "Phone and SMS" in My Profile. Users who are online, could you contact free of charge on the 1:1 chat or in the chat rooms.

ICONY-Mail, ICONY-cell text messages or ICONY-Messenger.Which should I use and when?
- Choose the communication tool that works best for you in each circumstance. You can send and receive ICONY-Messages using the message tab on your home page. The online-status on a member's profile shows you if that person is online when you are. Check the others profile to see if communication is available via Messages and/or SMS.

You can find ICONY messages from other members under Messages, your personal messagebox. From here you can also send messages themselves. Does the recipient find your message likeable, he can write a free response.
Messages from unwanted users can prevent you using your ignore list. You will receive no further text messages from the registered users.
ICONY-SMS-ID
Each user has an SMS ID, which will be shown on the profile of the user. You can use this ID at any time and anywhere without being on the Internet, send directly from your mobile phone a text message to the user. You will se all the details after click "SMS-ID" on the profile. The ICONY user receives your SMS in his message box and can reply to you for free. Your phone number will not be displayed at any time to the recipient.
